    Pricing & budgets

How HalalSpark charges you, what the rates are, and how your wallet and campaign budgets work.

    Two pricing models

Choose how you want to pay when creating a campaign. You can run different campaigns on different models.

    ModelWhat you pay forGood for
CPMEvery 1,000 impressions — whether visitors click or notBrand awareness, reaching a broad audience
CPCEach confirmed click through to your siteDirect response, driving traffic or conversions
Neither model is inherently better — it depends on your goal. CPM gives you predictable reach; CPC means you only pay when someone actually visits your site.

    Standard vs Premium impressions

Not all impressions are equal — and this is where HalalSpark's model is genuinely different from general ad networks.

Every publisher in the HalalSpark network is halal-approved. But some go further: they're selected by HalalSpark as premium publishers — sites where the audience is predominantly Muslim by the nature of the content itself. Think mosque websites, Islamic education platforms, Quran apps, and dedicated Muslim community platforms.

On a standard site, your ad is in front of a halal-approved, Muslim-friendly audience. On a premium site, every impression is landing on your target demographic — there's essentially no wasted spend. If you're selling to Muslims, a premium impression on a mosque website is categorically more valuable than a standard impression on a general lifestyle blog.

On premium sites, a premium campaign gets priority: when several ads could fill a space there, a premium ad is more likely to be the one shown (standard ads can still appear too). The premium price, 25% more than the standard price for the same country, is charged only for impressions on premium sites; on every other site a premium campaign pays the standard price. You don't control which kind of site a specific impression comes from — the network serves your ad across eligible publishers and charges accordingly.

    Prices by country

These prices apply from 21 October 2026. Until then every impression costs £4.00 per 1,000 (premium £6.00) and every click £0.60 (premium £0.90), wherever it's seen. From that date, everything served is charged at the new prices, including budgets you've already funded.

What you pay for an impression depends on the country of the person who sees your ad. There are four published tiers — no auctions and no bidding. The tier is decided from the viewer's connection when the ad is shown and is fixed at that moment; a click is charged at the tier of the impression it came from. If we can't tell where a viewer is, the impression is charged at Tier 4, the lowest price.

TierPer 1,000Per clickPremium per 1,000Premium per click
Tier 1UK, US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand£8.00£1.40£10.00£1.75
Tier 2Gulf states, much of western Europe, Singapore£6.00£1.00£7.50£1.25
Tier 3Malaysia, Turkey, South Africa, southern and eastern Europe£3.50£0.65£4.40£0.80
    Tier 4Every other country£1.00£0.40£1.30£0.50

Every country's tier is listed on the pricing page.

What you'll see when you set up a campaign

When you choose countries, the campaign wizard shows which tiers they fall in, the price in each, and an estimated average price — for example "about £3.50 per 1,000 impressions". The estimate is weighted by where HalalSpark's visitors have come from in the last 7 days. It's a guide, not a quote: each impression is still charged at its own viewer's country price. Where there isn't enough recent traffic to estimate, the wizard shows the tier prices only.

Why a worldwide campaign can spend faster in some countries

A campaign set to run everywhere (or across a region) is charged the price of wherever each viewer is. An impression in the UK costs £8.00 per 1,000 at the standard price; one in Pakistan costs £1.00. So the same budget buys far fewer Tier 1 impressions, and a day with more UK or US visitors uses budget faster. If you want to control what you pay, pick specific countries instead of everywhere, or set a daily or weekly spend cap.

    Your wallet

All spend flows through a wallet — you load funds in advance, then allocate to campaigns.

    • Minimum load: £4
    • Payments via Stripe (card)
    • Unused wallet balance stays in your account — it doesn't expire
    • Load once, distribute across any number of campaigns

    Stripe processing fees

A small Stripe processing fee is deducted from each deposit, so the amount credited to your wallet will be slightly less than what you paid. For example, loading £100 will credit slightly under £100 to your wallet. This is Stripe's payment processing charge, not a HalalSpark fee.

    Refunds

Unspent wallet balance can be refunded back to your original payment method. Go to your dashboard → Payments → Wallet, then click Refund to card. You'll receive back whatever is in your wallet at the time — the original Stripe processing fee from your deposit is not recoverable.

    Campaign budget

Each campaign has its own budget, transferred from your wallet. This keeps campaigns cleanly separated — a campaign only spends from its own allocation, not your total wallet balance.

    • Transfer funds from wallet to campaign at any time
    • Add more budget to a running campaign without pausing it
    • Optional daily and weekly spend caps — useful to control pacing
When a campaign's budget hits zero, ads stop serving automatically. Add more budget to resume — no need to recreate the campaign.

    When you're charged

Charges are not instant — they're processed in batches roughly every 5 minutes.

    • CPM: charged after impressions are confirmed and processed
    • CPC: charged when a click is confirmed (visitor clicked and reached your destination)
    • No charge for ads that don't serve or impressions that fail fraud checks

Your campaign spend counter in the dashboard updates as charges are processed. There's a short delay between an impression happening and it appearing as spend.
